Why pipelines are still going down after Buhari’s meeting with Clark – ND Avengers

– The Niger Delta Avengers insists it is in support of actions taken by militants in the region – It blamed the Buhari administration for the continued bombing of pipeline – It called on military presence in the region to be withdrawn The Niger Delta Avengers has blamed the continued military presence in the region for the continued bombing of oil and gas pipelines. President Muhammadu Buhari’s meeting with Chief Edwin Clark and other leaders from the Niger Delta region was expected to end hostility in the region but the opposite has been the case. In a statement signed by Brig.Gen Mudoch Agbinibowho is the spokesperson of the Avengers on Sunday,November 13, the group said it was not against any other group bombing pipelines in the region as they were all interested in the same thing. Read the statement below: We all know that Peace is not the absence of war. Sincerely speaking, the High Command of the Niger Delta Avengers cannot be blamed for the continuous bombing of crude oil export pipelines and other oil installations, since the Government has been relentlessly carrying out military build ups to continuously harass communities and indigenes of the Niger Delta after the November 1st meeting of the PANDEF and President Muhammadu Buhari. We see this as a deliberate move by the military establishment to undermine any effort of dialogue and negotiations with the people of the Niger Delta.
