Snake on a plane gives passengers a scare on flight to Mexico

NEW YORK — NEW YORK — Maybe the premise of the 2006 movie "Snakes on a Plane" wasn't that ridiculous.
Passengers on an Aeromexico flight from Torreon to Mexico City saw life imitate art Sunday when a snake suddenly dangled from the ceiling of the aircraft behind an overhead luggage
compartment, the Telegraph reports.
The flight had to make a quick landing so animal control could capture the snake, CNN reports. Samuel L. Jackson was not called into action.
Indalecio Medina, a passenger on the flight, took a video of the reptile, then he and others used blankets to "take control of the snake" before the flight landed, ABC News reports.
"I was reading a magazine and the passenger next to me saw it and, 'Oh my word!'" Medina tells the Associated Press. "It was a frightening situation ... but people remained calm because it didn't get out of that space and nobody became hysterical. Some people got up to see what kind of reptile it was, but nobody got carried away."
