Luis Enrique would love Messi to end his career at Barcelona

The alarming news of Leo Messi possibly not feeling motivated to sign a contract extension took everyone at Barcelona by surprise, they all expected him to say yes to any offer he got from the club. But according to the press in Madrid, Messi is a bit bored and would be looking for a new challenge somewhere else.
However, both president Josep Maria Bartomeu and manager Luis Enrique are convinced that Messi will end up saying yes to a new contract. Neither of them can imagine life without Leo Messi this early in his career.
Talking to the press this Friday, Luis Enrique said that: "I think he will be here for many years. A player who left his country when he was young, for him to finish his career as the number one player in history at the club where he started - it would be the perfect story. I would like that [to happen] but that is his thing. That's something between the club and the player and they are the ones that should talk about it. I can give them information as we know having Messi on the team brings certain guarantees. It's a story that needs a happy ending but that question is for other people to answer."
Ahead of the Malaga game, Luis Enrique recalled that Luis Suarez may get rested and Paco Alcacer will get his chance to feature and finally score a goal: "It's a big opportunity for him. Forwards need minutes and it's good for Paco. I think he's going to play well. He's a starter tomorrow but his main objective is not to score goals but to help the team win. The result is what's important, not just for him but all his team-mates. If we win, I'll watch it ( the Madrid Derby). As far as the result I hope both teams lose. I know that's not possible."
